Central
Mindanao Colleges (CMC) successfully hosted the CONNECT 2025 Job Fair on August
15, 2025, at the CMC Quadrangle, bringing together students, alumni, and job
seekers with leading employers and partner government agencies.
The
Job Fair, organized by the Center for Job Placement (CJP) in collaboration with
the Center for Alumni Affairs (CAA) and the Graduate School Education Student
Council (GSE SC), served as a vital platform for employment readiness and
workforce development.
With
the theme “Ready, Set, Hired!”, the fair gathered numerous participating
companies and organizations offering job opportunities across different
sectors. Government partners such as the Department of Labor and Employment
(DOLE), Cotabato Field Office (CFO), Public Employment Service Office (PESO)
Kidapawan, Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Technical Education and Skills
Development Authority (TESDA), and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)
extended their support by providing guidance, resources, and linkages for
applicants.
The
event also featured the active participation of Alpha Phi Omega, student
volunteers, and various support teams who ensured the smooth facilitation of
the program.
For
graduating students and alumni, the CONNECT 2025 Job Fair was not only an
avenue to explore job openings but also an opportunity to practice professional
networking and gain first-hand experience in recruitment processes. By directly
engaging with employers, applicants were able to showcase their skills, submit
applications, and even secure interviews on-site.
The
initiative reflects CMC’s strong commitment to the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent
Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through
academic-industry collaboration, the institution continues to prepare globally
competitive graduates while contributing to inclusive growth and sustainable
development.
As
the day concluded, CONNECT 2025 was celebrated as more than just a job fair—it
was a bridge connecting CMCians to their future careers, reminding them that
every application is a step closer to success.
